Getting started

Aniimo Beginner Guide

Follow the opening story, choose Helion for close-range play or Lunara for ranged attacks, and learn the catching and Twining prompts as they appear. Once you can explore, fill missing team roles with obtainable companions instead of spending all your resources on another damage dealer.

Choose a starter by how you want to fight

Helion and Lunara are both Holy DPS companions. Their basic-form attributes match, while their combat rhythm differs: Helion builds Solar Halo with four basics, and Lunara creates Silver Moon Marks with skills and spends them on basic hits.

Pick a rhythm you want to practice. You do not need both starters to assemble the team below.

Make each early catch serve a purpose

Catch new companions while following the story through each area. Before throwing, distinguish an eligible target with a low chance from a target that cannot currently be caught. Stronger pods do not remove every encounter restriction.

Use the creature directory to search your current habitat and identify a missing role. The saved checklist helps you keep track of what you have, but does not read your game account.

Practice Twining before a difficult encounter

Take direct control and read the active form’s skill bar. Learn one attack, one defensive or recovery option and its movement action before trying to use the whole kit at once.

A familiar form is useful even while you collect alternatives. Changing forms without learning the new resource costs can make a stronger-looking companion harder to use.

Fill breaking and recovery roles

A practical early target is your chosen starter, Hummin, Skippy and Nimbi. Their Basic Form habitat listings overlap in Nimbus Fields, so you can work on the collection as that region becomes available.

This adds breaking, healing and exploration utility around the damage dealer. Use the member-specific skill instructions and alternatives in the complete team page.

Spend training materials after choosing your core

Inspect potential and current Capability options before a large investment. Level and Resonance control available caps. Below level 60, Capability Awakening resets return training items; do not assume that same reset rule applies at higher levels.

When progress stalls, separate the problem: an encounter restriction calls for the correct condition, a missing role calls for a team adjustment, and a locked training cap calls for its requirement. More spending does not solve every one of those problems.

Use the mobile setup checklist when changing devices. For a shared expedition, learn the invitation flow and check which progress remains personal before choosing your next goal.
