Emberpup
Emberpup is a Fire DPS Aniimo. Its basic form combines a dodge-timed Fire Kick, an aimed Fire Bolt and stamina-powered Hustle movement. Scorching Flames increases damage against elementally countered targets by 25%, so target selection matters alongside attack timing.

Where to look for Emberpup
Emberpup’s basic form is listed in Nimbus Fields, The Mistwoods, The Argent Strait, Echoback Landing and Beast Fang Ridge. These are habitat areas; use your current region and catching progress to choose where to search rather than treating the list as a single fixed spawn point.
Check the target’s form before comparing its abilities. Emberpup also has Highland and Mountain Woods form entries; the stats and skills on this page describe Basic Form.

Key attacks and what to practice
After a successful dodge, Fire Kick deals 120% damage and grants a 20% damage increase for 20 seconds. Pebble Kick also has a 120% damage outcome on a successful dodge. The dodge condition is part of the benefit; simply using the skill does not mean the bonus has activated.
| Ability | Listed power / cost | Practical use |
|---|---|---|
| Fire Kick | 72 / 0 | A brief invincible leap followed by a Fire landing attack. Time it to dodge an incoming hit. |
| Pebble Kick | 40 / 0 | A rock-wrapped leap and landing attack; a successful dodge adds an 8-second Lockdown effect. |
| Fire Bolt | 30 / 10 | Aimed fireball; hold to aim. Applies two Fire Debuff stacks for 5 seconds. |
A simple Emberpup combat loop
This sequence is a starting practice routine. A timing mistake loses the conditional dodge benefit, and a Fire DPS does not replace dedicated healing, energy recovery or breaking support.
- Choose a target that Fire can counter when possible, so Scorching Flames can contribute its 25% counter-target damage increase.
- Watch for an incoming attack and use Fire Kick’s brief defensive window to evade it.
- Use the resulting opening for follow-up attacks; aim Fire Bolt when you have a clear line to the target.
- Keep enough stamina for movement rather than spending it all on Hustle before combat.
- Change companions when the encounter requires a different element or team role.
Resonance milestones and investment
Keep the companion’s level requirement separate from the Resonance level you are trying to unlock. Before committing training materials, check potential, available Capability caps and whether this is the form you intend to keep.
| Resonance level | Requirement | Material |
|---|---|---|
| 6 | Reach level 55 | Omnisource Crystal ×1 |
| 7 | Reach level 65 | Omnisource Crystal ×2 |
